WARP for Happ: Xray JSON config and import

For Happ, start with the Xray JSON export rather than an AmneziaWG .conf. Check your app’s core, understand the generated routes and diagnose import or startup errors.

Which Cloudflare WARP config should you generate for Happ?

The relevant export on this site is Xray (.json). It contains a complete configuration with local listeners, DNS, routing and a WireGuard outbound for WARP. It is different from a VLESS link, a subscription URL, a Clash YAML file or an AmneziaWG .conf.

Happ documents a mode that passes a JSON configuration directly to its Xray core. The core must support the outbound and options in that file; JSON import alone does not prove compatibility. Check the installed version before relying on a generated profile.

Generate the WARP Xray JSON

The generator’s Xray export uses WARP credentials, a QUIC-shaped noise packet and eight random noise packets. Its settings differ from the AWG .conf export: selecting an AWG version is not how you configure this JSON.

  1. Open WARP Generator and choose Xray as the configuration format. Start with the default endpoint and Cloudflare DNS.
  2. Leave MTU at the generator’s default of 1280 for the first test. Keep IPv6 aligned with what you intend to use, and leave the custom I1 domain disabled unless you need to test it.
  3. Generate and download the .json file. It includes a private key: keep it on your device and do not paste it into public chats or online JSON validators.
  4. Keep a working profile while you test the new one. Create a separate configuration for another device rather than sharing this file.

Import as Xray JSON, then check startup

Use the import workflow for a complete Xray JSON configuration if your installed Happ version provides it. A field for a subscription URL or a single proxy link expects a different kind of input. Import actions vary by platform; a renamed file will not solve a format mismatch.

  1. Import the saved JSON through the app’s supported configuration-import action. If it only accepts proxy links or subscriptions, check the documentation for that app version before continuing.
  2. Activate the imported profile and inspect the startup log. An unsupported WireGuard outbound or noise option is a core-compatibility problem to resolve before changing DNS.
  3. Check that the app actually routes your intended traffic into the running profile. Test one site and compare the result with the connection log.

Understand the ports and routing in this export

This generator writes SOCKS on 127.0.0.1:10808 and HTTP on 127.0.0.1:10809. Those are local listeners on your device, not Cloudflare server addresses or subscription links. Another running proxy using the same port can prevent startup.

The generated routing sends port 53 to the direct outbound and remaining TCP/UDP traffic to the WARP outbound. WARP’s remoteDNS is configured separately from the top-level DNS servers. The generator’s Specific sites selector is hidden for Xray; this file does not inherit the .conf split-routing selection.

In Happ’s documented raw-JSON mode, ordinary interface routing settings do not rewrite the supplied JSON. Inspect the file’s rules when app-level route changes appear ineffective. Do not assume a full JSON profile is controlled in the same way as an imported proxy link.

Happ WARP config not working: what to check first

If import fails, check that the downloaded file is a complete Xray JSON and that the selected import action accepts it. If startup fails, read the first error: unknown fields and occupied local ports require different fixes. Repeatedly generating keys will not fix either problem.

If the core starts but traffic fails, check the endpoint and the app’s traffic-capture mode, then isolate DNS and routing with the related guides. A successful download or import is not a connectivity test, and this guide does not claim a verified connection for every Happ version or network.
